The size of the rectangular or shaped notes is small enough for the receiving person to keep it without any concerns for space, and these cards are suitable for a display. The lightfast materials will not fade when exposed to light, and therefore the colors will stay vibrant for over hundred years.

On the photo, you see an example of a personal message created in time of the Valentine Day celebrations, in which the phrase "You are great" was shaped in a form of heart in red archival ink, matching the date's symbolism, but expressing the words of appreciation in a reserved respectful manner, fitting to the situation and the nature of the relationship.
