This drawing is based on a short session with a male model, and explores the way our mind adjust for the known proportions of human body, even if some parts of it is closer to us, unlike a photographic lens would make it appear, especially a wide angle lens usual for smart phones, to images by which we became so accustomed.

On his right arm you can see the raised by his trained muscle vein line, especially noticeable under one source of harsh light, towards which he was turning. The English word "vein" sounding like "vain" together with some vulnerability and emergency in the gesture of this young athletic artist-model gave me the drive to finish this work with a new meaning - he moves away, to be fully visible, opens up to someone despite the odds to be rejected, and pauses, yet to be accepted.
